Hi I’m from India and want to go for a masters degree in Finance
My GMAT score is 610
I have a bachelors degree in Business Economics (GPA is 3.6)
I have worked with KPMG for 9 months as a Risk Analyst
EXTRA CURRICULAR:
I was active in sports with quite a few gold medals
And I am also a hair blogger and Youtuber
I want to apply to Zicklin for Ms in Finance
Please help me with my chances of getting in. Also if someone could help me with Employment prospects after graduation for an International student.
Lastly, which other unis can I go for?

I would give you low odds with that GMAT. Work experience is nice, GPA helps some, but being international with a low GPA is going to be an uphill battle. I would retake and aim for a 650 and above.
Employment prospects - The program is STEM which will help. Being in Manhattan is also a big selling point. I would say that finding a job as an international is difficult, but you will have endless opportunities being in NYC.

Hi there,
So you have an interesting profile.
Here are some things that work in your favour:
Your GPA looks good. If you are targeting US/UK schools, this will come in handy as these countries place quite some emphasis on academics
Work Ex is impressive. KPMG is a good brand, plus having an analytical experience is an asset. Just make sure that you are not picking up generic things from your work ex, for your essays. Focus on quantifiable achievements and highlight any differentiating impact created during these experiences.
Extra-curriculars look fair. Your sports background can be an interesting thing to highlight. Since schools prefer a holistic profile, try to include more experiences lie social volunteering, any courses undertaken, etc.
On the same note, having a CFA certificate on your profile can substantially increase your selection chances for finance programs. Think about it.
GMAT is on the lower side. Would suggest you to re-take and aim for a 690+ score so that you have a chance of getting into better ranked schools.
For most of the good schools, the graduate start with a salary of 70k-80k USD and post a 3 to 4 year of work ex, it can go as high as $140,888.
In our experience, most candidates under-sell their profile and hence target lower ranked schools.
With your profile, you can get into much better schools if you make the effort and come up with a strong application.
Here are there some school options that you can consider:
MIT, LBS, Oxford can be dream schools
ESSEC, Bocconi can be competitive schools
