It was an interactive session- conducted by 2 people- one from the adcom and the other a professor. It lasted for about 40 mins. *Tell us about yourself? * Why did you leave your earlier job? Detailed questioning on my current job- * Why change in industry? * Business model of current employer? * Challenges faced? Lessons learnt? * Future prospects? * Plans if I did not get into MBA? In this discussion, at one point they told me about the Chinese system of 'guanxi' and how things seemed pretty similar in India. Then, we got into some China and CEIBS related questions. * Why China? Why do you want to leave India? * Which other colleges have you applied? Why CEIBS and not them? * Plan B if you get into CEIBS but don't get a job in China? * Job in China- which sectors are you targeting?- A bit of research on the alumni on LinkedIn was of great help! * My long term plans- whether I wanted to return to India? Then, I had a conversation with them in Mandarin. The questions - * Where did you learn Mandarin in India? * What do you find hardest in the language? Then we moved onto some things that interested them in my essay- we had a long conversation about sport and discussed- * Why India as well as China were not doing well in football despite having huge populations and lots of money! * How could both these nations improve? During the course of our discussion, they told me a joke about how one can become a millionaire in China- start as a billionaire and buy a football club, and see your money evaporate in front of your eyes! * What can you do for sport at your level? *Finally, any question about CEIBS? I had some! So, we had a nice discussion on this. After this, they gave me a bit of career advice and also gave me names of alumni who I could connect with! Read Less

Duration: about 40 minutes Interviewers: 2 person Highlight: Bad Skype connection. So bad I can't hear the interviewers very well; I'm sure they can't hear me well. And the image was kinda bad too. But fortunately, the interview continued through a phone call. Questions as following: 1. Walk me through your resume. 2. Your short term goal was xxx, what is your motivation? Why would you need an MBA for it? You could achieve it through another route. 3. What skill do you need (to develop) to reach your short term goal? 4. Shanghai is competitive, what if you were unable to find xxx post MBA? Backup plan? 5. Why Shanghai? Why CEIBS? Compare to other MBA you applied. Is Shanghai / CEIBS still your final choice if u get all school's offer? 6. Any international exp? How do you react to cultural diversity? Give example. 7. How can u contribute to your classmates? 8. Mandarin is crucial in China. How would you bridge the gap? 9.any question for us? *also, the interview questions were quite similar to those found from google. Read Less
