Despite the fun "P" alliteration in the title I am a little uncertain on something and could really use someones advice. I know my post MBA goal is brand management. Ideally with a P&G but have a few companies on the list that are actually just as ambitious given competition (such as a Nike).
But also incredibly intrigued by a rotation program such as the adidas functional trainee program (not dissimilar from the thread at the top of this forum).
I am curious, both for the rotational programs and also general post-MBA career life, if it is worth reaching out to brand managers/HR at some of these companies now just to introduce myself to get a bit of a head start on recruiting? Or is it so soon I'm more likely to look overeager/say something foolish than to actually get a leg up. Is there a common practice to this?
Are you now admitted to any school that you can get recruited by those companies in your list? If not, I would slow down and not make this contact as it is nonsense. they might now believe you at this step and will view them as job seeker who shoot connection emails. Do not burn your contacts now. When time comes, you will be ready.
