Hi guys,
I've been preparing for gmat for about a month on and off, and have reached a point where I feel that I could reach at least my minimum target score (700+, 730+ to be safe). I was supposed to take the test this week, but postponed scheduling the time until the last minute. And that was one minute too long - when I finally decided to schedule the time, there was none left. The next available appointment at the closest test center is at the beginning of August. To make matters worse, I think that the test center is closed during July, so there is close to zero possibility to take the test before August.
The problem with having the extra month to study is that I've solved more than half of the OG13 quant questions, all of the GMAT Prep practise questions, taken GMAT Prep test 1 twice, and tests 2 and 3 once. At the moment, quant is the area that I should focus on, since I've scored quite well in verbal in the practise tests. I know most if not all the quant concepts that may be tested, I just need to get faster in solving the problems and possibly review some advanced strategies. With only one full GMAT Prep CAT left, I don't have enough material to last for more than a month. Without the material (questions & CATs), I'm pretty sure I don't have enough motivation to retain the level I'm currently on, let alone improve my results.
With all this in mind, which study materials should I get now? My plan is to solve the rest of the OG quant questions and some verbal questions, retake GMAT Prep tests 2 and maybe 3, and save test 4 for the last week of study. Does that sound reasonable? I also thought that I could buy the GMAT Prep question pack 1 and the Manhattan CATs to get more practise in timing and to get used to the test. Since you get access to the CATs when you buy one of their strategy guide ebooks, which strategy guide would I benefit the most from?
