Sorry, i know i've been posting a lot of the same stuff about needing help, but i think thisll be my last one. i think ill have a plan ready, but wanted opinions on my situation.
I currently have the
MGMAT guides 00-09, the
OG MGMAT 13th edition, and foundations of gmat math and verbal.
Started brushing up my knowledge of the GMAT around September, but my study schedule was on and off and inconsistent.
From mid Dec-Feb i got more serious and studied more consistently. mainly just read these books and brushed up on my basics. I took notes and made flash cards. mid Feb- mid March I was just answering a bunch of questions from the
OG guide and here at gmatclub (filtered to show only sub 600 questions because i really dont want to have to answer more difficult questions than i have to, although some questions shown were above that lol), jotting down notes and making flashcards for information that i missed or wasn't covered in the
MGMAT guides. I also took my first practice CAT beginning March, and since then i've taken 4 practice CATs, each different companies. My scores have been 560, 460, 510, 530. My test is Aprill 11, and i plan to take 3 more practice CATs until then (one today, one this saturday, and one next tuesday or wednesday).
I know im capable of scoring at least a 550 on the actual test, i just need to calm down and not get frustrated when i cant solve a question. But in the event i don't get my target score, i plan to take the gmat again, preferably within May. I only need a 550, so im not trying to bog myself down with strenuous study plans or difficult problems to figure out.
So if i were to take the gmat again, i plan to review the books again and not focus so much on solving as many problems as possible. Would you suggest going over the
MGMAT guides again, or go for a different company like kaplan? Again i'm just aiming for a 550 so im not looking to spend hundreds of dollars for the absolute best material out there.
Also, since my test is in a week and a half, what can you suggest i do to increase my score even a little bit. as i stated earlier i plan to take 3 more pactice CATS before my test day. i've been studying my note cards for the past few weeks, and im growing weary of looking at the same cards over and over and over again lol. ive also been doing practice problems but im not really sure if theyre helping (still getting a lot of sub 600 questions incorect both verbal and quant), ive read doing a bunch of problems won't help as much as reviewing concepts (which is what my notecards are for).
sorry for this wall of txt but i really appreciate all the help this forum has given me the past few months!
