\(−2( 3 − x [\frac{5 + y − 2}{x}] − 7 + 2 ⋅3^2) =\)

(A) \(2y – 11\)

(B) \(2y + 1\)

(C) \(x – 2\)

(D) \(x + 22\)

(E) \(2y – 22\) --> correct: \(−2( 3 − x [\frac{5 + y − 2}{x}] − 7 + 2 ⋅3^2) \)= \(−2( 3 − x [\frac{3 + y}{x}] − 7 + 2 ⋅3^2) \) = -2(3 -3-y -7+18)=-2(11-y)=2y-22

is 2.3^2 supposed to be 2 x (3)^2 and not (2.3)^2?

is 2.3^2 supposed to be 2 x (3)^2 and not (2.3)^2?
­2*3^2 can only mean 2*(3^2), nothing else. If it were (2*3)^2, it would have been written that way.

If x were 0, the expression would be undefined, so none of the answer choices would be correct.
