You should try to land a full-time job now and apply for an MBA in a couple of years at least. It sounds like you're fairly young so you shouldn't have a hard time getting an entry level job and then working your way up, even after 6 or 12 months.

It's possible to get into an MBA program with your experience (internships included) but it might not be very highly ranked. If that doesn't matter to you, we can recommend a few programs.

As for the PsyD program dismissal, see how it plays out. You can always address this in the optional essay in your MBA application if it even warrants an explanation. Sorry you had to experience this!

Thank you for your response. If you could share some programs that would be extremely helpful. I am in the process of applying for jobs, it has been tough because my bachelor's degree is in psychology. Sales would really be the own feasible route, but I am really not interested in it after having prior work experience in sales. Although I do have about 5-6 business classes on my transcript.

Hi I was in a PsyD program but was dismissed at the end of the spring semester back in April.

I am looking to attempt to make a jump to an MBA program. I took some business classes in undergrad and now taking a management course at a community college. (Filled a complaint against the school for being wrongly dismissed, still waiting to hear back).

I would say that I have all the interpersonal and communicative skills you can have but lack the business class depth as my degree is in psychology.

Hoping to get some feedback as I don't know what is possible related to my previous experience.

Hi mfig15,
Sorry about the PsyD mess. Agree 100% with bb's post on this. While a longer route to MBA may be picking up (and excelling in) a full time job for around 3 years (before you apply), you can also consider non-MBA master's programs; Some MiM, MSc in Business courses will also accept you with limited work ex, but will be able to comment better only after a detailed assessment, with context.

Feel free to browse through 50+ recommendations on my LinkedIn, to see the width and profiles of students I have helped and/or ping on LinkedIn for a one-to-one.
