Hi Guys
My gmat is in 2 weeks time. I have so far given 4 MGMAT cats and scores are 630,610,630 and 640.
Between the last two MGMAT cats, I took one GMAT prep exam and got 690(Q46,V38). This weekend I gave GMAT Prep 2 and got 690(Q43,V41) again,then I reset the questions and gave exam 1 yesterday and got 730(Q46,V45).
This time, however I saw lot of repeats. Lots of questions in verbal were repeated and thus ended up with 45 in verbal.
Based on the last 3 tests(GMATPrep) , looks like Quant is going to kill me in the actual exam. The funny part is I always scored above 44 in MGMAT cats in Quant section. Now I have read in the forums that Quant in MGMAT cats is actually tougher than the final exam so I was quite hopeful of getting Q48 on the Dday.Can I still realistically hope for Q48 in the actual test based on my current level ?
What should be my strategy ? I am yet to start with GMAT Club tests. I have heard they are so tough, they can actually kill your confidence but then people swear by them.
PLease advise if its beneficial taking these tests so late with only two weeks to go ?
I am aiming for 700 (78%ile + in both sections so that would be Q48,V38 approx)

I wouldn't worry too much about the MGMAT quant scores. The questions you get in those tests for quant are way too tough and require way too much calculations. I could never score high on MGMAT tests (except one freak score in VA). These are my scores in MGMAT:
Test Quant Verbal Total
Test 1 41 35 630
Test 2 45 36 670
Test 3 43 38 670
Test 4 47 45 740
Test 5 46 38 690
But, IMHO GMAT Prep quant is very close to the real thing. I got below in GMAT Prep:
Test1 - 720(Q49,V39)
Test2 - 730(Q49,V40)
I took the GMAT Prep Test2 3 days before the test, in exact exam conditions (with AWA and IR, no breaks except the ones allowed). And I replicated that score exactly on the test day (730,Q49,V40, IR-7), which was yesterday. So, all in all, I wouldn't worry too much about the MGMAT quant scores, but make sure you are able to reach your target on GMAT Prep before taking the final test.
I would advise checking out the Advanced Quant book from MGMAT, it has some good strategies and questions for practice.
