Hey all,

How much progress have yall made (if any) on the "To Do" list on the accepted students site? I've started some of the simpler tasks, but it seems that most items are not even available yet. A couple of specific tasks--has anyone been able to activate their university account? Sent in transcripts? Just curious what others were doing about some of this stuff...

Look forward to meeting everyone at one of the accepted student events coming up!

I physically dropped off my deposit and transcript. Working on all the financial stuff, which is prob the most important thing (for me, at least). If anyone isn't from NYC and needs any tips/advice on anything. Feel free to PM me.

^ I sent in my deposit a few days ago, but I didn't know anything about sending in a transcript. That's not even an action item on my To-Do List. Do they specifically request transcripts?

The transcript is an item on my To-Do list so I'd imagine it would show up on yours as well.

Believe it or not - It doesn't show up on my To-Do List!

I have a total of 14 items on my list. None related to transcripts. I wonder if it shows up after they process my deposit (mailed it out on Monday in NYC).

It was on mine before I paid my deposit. But after my deposit was processed, the to-do list ballooned to 35 items.

How long did it take them to process your deposit?

About 2-3 days. I sent them an email after I dropped it off. They emailed me a confirmation email after it was processed.

I wired them the money, and sent an email with confirmation -> they acknowledged the same day, if I remember correctly.

I've been less and less active on the other thread. To be honest, once I received my acceptance, I stopped caring about a lot of things. Not going to burn bridges at work, of course - but I don't stress much anymore.

(also, must suck to get dinged from the one place you really want to go. From the other thread, I have sympathy with a lot of the other participants. Getting dinged by HBS and Wharton didn't impact me in the slightest, never expected to go there. But, for those expecting to go to columbia, or really hoping/thinking it would work out.... ouch.....)

I sent them a Bank Check for the deposit. They sent me an email upon receipt and processed it immediately. The 30+ items on my To do List showed up soon after and I got a @gsb.columbia.edu email account a day later... life is good :-)

I got into CBS about a week and a half ago and I have a comment and question:
1) I have been able to focus at work far more now than before I was admitted. The month-long application process was painful and stressful for me and I found myself unable to concentrate at work. Because we still have 9 months until school, I've been able to concentrate on work.
2) Does anyone know generally what the geographic cut-off is for getting on campus housing? I know New Yorkers can't get it, but what about people from other parts of the US? What about Canada/Mexico? Europe? South America? Any insight would be appreciated!

Congrats. Work in Ct, live in manhattan myself. I'm sure there'll be ample opportunities to meet up.

Did everyone elses To-Do list get larger after the deposit was processed? As of now I only have 14 items on my To-Do list (transcripts were not one of them). I mailed my deposit in today.

Same here. My to do list went from 14 to 31 after my deposit was processed. Transcript showed up later as well.

I wonder how/why others had 'Official Transcript' show up in the initial list? Weird.
