Matriculating 2013 MIT Sloan Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Program Hi, my name is David and I'm a first year student in the MIT Leaders for Global Operations program. LGO is a two-year, dual-degree MBA/MS Engineering program born from the collaboration of the Sloan School of Management and the MIT School of Engineering. LGO is focused on educating technically-polished future business leaders to solve tomorrow's operations challenges. I am starting this thread with a few classmates to help answer some questions, to familiarize you with the program, and to let you know what being a student at MIT/Sloan is really like. Couple of notes about LGO: The majority of the tuition (at Sloan's rates) is subsidized The program starts in the beginning of MIT's summer session to allow the Sloan/engineering courses to fit in the two years allotted Acceptance is limited to about 48 per year Generally considered more a part of Sloan than the engineering department The application process is almost identical to the general Sloan process. The LGO program is a selectable option from the Sloan application site or through the MIT engineering graduate school site. If you apply through the Sloan side, there is an additional essay requirement. Does anyone know if they'll be calling through the weekend as in previous years? Seems like the calls went out pretty early yesterday, which may have given enough time to have already called all those who were accepted.

Do you think all the calls have been made already? No reported calls yesterday, and early calls on Friday...

Perhaps a little bit of hope. I hadn't received a call and emailed someone affiliated with the program yesterday morning asking if all of the 2015 students had been notified. The person replied this morning: "Most but not all were informed. It should be completed tomorrow." I am not going to get excited, as it could be the international students who will be called tomorrow but, at the very least, there's still hope for a few candidates
