The 2017 USNWR rankings for business schools were just released. While there was a lot of change--Booth surpasses Wharton, Yale glides past CBS, Stern drops to #20(!!)--Duke Fuqua has moved up 1 spot from #13 to #12 on the list. Fuqua is current tied with Michigan Ross, 1 spot behind UVA Darden, and 1 spot ahead of Cornell Johnson, the 3 institutions most labeled as peers of Fuqua.
This is the second year in a row for the program moving up one space, as they were at #13 2 years ago.

They moved up simply because Stern dropped to 20th - and it's only because they did not submit data in time for ranking calculation. Therefore, basically Fuqua still stops at where it has been.

Correct, but also consider Yale did move past them to #7, so they still had a net movement upwards. However, the position is not materially different from last year's ranking.
