Hi all,

I took the TOEFL yesterday in a local town in Israel. got there @ 9:00am, 30 mins before what was requested.
They said there was a server error on the ETS server in the US and all 50 people had to wait between 3 to 3.5 hours until the test started.

Overall I felt I did good, but my question is: should I complain to ETS? before or after I get my grade?
has anyone ever encountered such an issue?

I'd appreciate any input on this!

Hi GilE,

I had the same experience - my test was delayed for 1.5 hours. You can report it to ETS, but I guess it was not the fault of the test center since the server was down.

Did yiu get your score yet?

Thanks, I got 112 so I let it go... anything less than a 100 and I would've written them though!

Wow, congratulations! Great score! How much time did you spend on prep? What study materials did you use?

To be honest, I spent only about 6 hours on local "last minute" prep course here in Israel, to be familiarized with the structure and questions types. I then spent about 3-4 reviewing and summarizing the material. Then I did the 2 free samples from the ETS website and 1 purchased full prep exam the day before the real test. I also used the Magoosh TOEFL app to practice the speaking parts, it was actually extremely useful to practice with!!
