 To maximize A we need to minimize C. Value of B is fixed i.e. 5 $ more than A. 
 As All the amount is integer. C=61. 
Balance150-61=89
B + B-5= 89

 So max contribution of A=47-5=42.

Now,  A = B - 5

Now,  A + B + C = 150

Or,  ( B - 5 ) + B + 61 = 150

Or,  2B + 56 = 150

Or,  B = 47  , So  A = 42 , Thus Answer must be (B) 42
