The important thing is not to get entangled with the statements.

Let's see:

They do not claim that 40% of income comes from ....
In addition, 60% of the income comes from...

So we have 40% + 60% = 100% of the club's income.

We will consider that the total income of the club is 100.

So we have:

40 = 40% income of people 25 years old
60 = 60% income of 35 year olds

It is then reported that the club:
Increase your quota by 20% for people aged 25, that is:
(20/100)x40 = 0.2x40= 8

Increase your fee by 30% for people over 35, that is:

(30/100)x60 = 0.3x60=18

Then the percentage increase is 8 + 18 = 26%

Answer A

Interesting question: what percentage is the non-increase of 25-year-olds compared to the non-increase of 35-year-olds?

Come on dare, you can!
