Hi,

First of all congrats on 660 even on your bad day!
An increment from 660 to 750 is quite high.
In your place, I would like to target a 750 in two attempts. Try and achieve a 700/710 in your next attempt and then target a 750.

All the best.

Hi vishwajeetarora,

First off, a 660/Q48 is a strong Score, so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. As such, a retest might not be necessary. Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

There's certainly no harm in retesting though - and you have the potential to pick up points in BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. Before we discuss the data in your ESR, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
5) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi! I studied for 4 hours a day for 4 months!

Scored
720 twice - GMAT prep(official mocks)
710 twice - GMAT prep ( official mocks)
700 - MGMAT
640 - MGMAT (first mock)

I performed poorly on actual day and got just 660! I was hoping to get around 700 for the first time!
I blanked out when I sae the questions! RC was going over my head, I took more time in the starting and was left with very little time in the end!
Same happend with me un the quant! I took so much time solving the first questions! I did questions like the ones in gmat before and even then I took more time to understand how it has to be solved! I was numb!

I think I got blank and was cold and numb because I was unprepared!
Attaching my ESR!
Any advise would be greatful!
Thank you guys!

Two quick pointers:-

1) You can improve your quant score just by managing time properly. You ran out of time towards the end of quant section.

2) Since you did well in CR there is no reason why you can't do well in RC. You need more practice in Verbal (especially RC)

All the best!

Hey! Thanks for reaching out.

1. I prepared for 4 months and studied 28-30 hours a week.
2. I have used the OG 2019 , OG Verbal Review 2019. Manhattan SC guide for Sentence Correction. PDF files provided to me by the Coaching Institute, containing concepts and question for Quant, SC, CR & RC.

3. Here is the list for all my mocks

November 10, 2019 - 680 Q49 V33(Official Mock)
November 27, 2019 - 720 Q47 V42(Official Mock)
December 10, 2019 - 710 Q51 V35(Official Mock)
December 24, 2019 - 720 Q49 V38(Official Mock)

Decmeber 16, 2019 - 700 Q45 V40 (Manhattan Prep)

4. I wanted to apply for this year intake i.e. September 2020 but I can still apply this year in Round 3 and for the next year. So I have time.
5. I want to apply in HBS, Booth School of Business, Anderson School of Management, Columbia and Stern.

Thanks
