Hey Guys,

I just gave my GMAT this Saturday and scored 670 (Q48 V34). It is not what I expected and also not a good enough score for the B Schools I am targeting. Nevertheless I am happy with the progress made in 2 -3 months and the score Progress I made from 580(Q47 V23). I must thank GMAT club and all the mods here they are doing fabulous work here. I really enjoyed GMAT journey thanks to GMAT club. Getting up daily in excitement to see the latest questions in GMAT club and to find the new answers for them made the journey hell lot easy. Not to forget till date GMAT club score predictor is predicting Sub - 450 score for me

Books Used :
Verbal:
Manhattan SC guide
Aristotle SC Grail
Powerscore CR Bible
RC 99 and any other RC material I got my hands to.

Quant :
Manhattan 5 guides
OG -10,11,12,13

Official Question Pack of 404 questions --> Its gold

After getting 580 in my first attempt in march 2013 I took a long break from GMAT and started on Spetember 1st week to take the GMAT on , again!. I decided Nov 1 date for my GMAT but it got delayed as usual and decided to book the test the day I score 700 on my mock. And i scored 700 on 18th Nov and booked real thing for 23rd Nov.Below are my mock scores

Manhattan 1 580 Q44 V25
GMAT PREP I 600 Q46 V27
Manhattan 2 660 Q45 V35
GMAT prep 2 700 Q49 V36
GMAT Prep 3 - 700 (Q49, V37)
GMAT prep 4 - 690 (Q48, V37)
Veritas free test - 700(Q48 V38)
GMAT Prep 4 - 640 Q49 V24 -- The day before I gave gmat

As Verbal was my weak point I concentrated only on Verbal for most of my prep. There were days I felt so confident with my SC and then there were some days I was like I dont know even one rule. But I stuck to only official material and focussed on OG -11 , 12 for most of the time. For CR I only read Power score CR bible and it is still my weakest area and dont know how to improve it. For RCs I did 3 RCs a day and believe me it really helps to take your accuracy up for RC. Read as much as you can form good material it really helps.

Test Day experience
As I had consistently Scored in the range of 48 - 49 in Quant I was confident about it. It wall going well with average questions till 27th number question where I saw a DS question on Speed and foolishly spent more than 5 min on it . Consequently left with only 3 minutes and 4 questions to go. I though I messed up in my stronger area.. In break as well was very disheartened
But dint lose focus in Verbal and managed to score 34 Verbal.I faced a 5 para long RC :O It was scary but managed to complete verbal in time.

I wont say I am totally consent with my score but i am not at all sad about the score as well I have shown improvement in all of the categories Q (47 - 48), V(23- 35) , IR(3-4) , AWA(4-5)
. But what this score has done is left me confused whether to go for it again in a month or go ahead with Apps with time running out of my hand already . I cant delay MBA for one more year now.

Can experts please comment Can I improve my Q score till 49 - 50 ??? and Verbal from 34 - 38-40??? with in a month ???

Whatever I decide I loved studying for GMAT

Abhinav
