Hi DonVito,

First off, a 680/Q49 is a fantastic Score, so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. As such, a retest might not be necessary. Many Business Schools still do not pay much attention (if any) to an applicant's IR Score, so you likely have little to worry about there. That having been said, individual Schools/Programs might have some interest in your IR Score, - and since you're ultimately asking Admissions questions, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

Thank you sjas31(apology for the slang, I was a litlle frustrated), Scott and Rich for your kind responses.

I did write to 3 adcoms and they wrote back that 680 is a good score and although they do consider all sections of the GMAT, if I could explain an IR 1 in the essay, it might be okay to go ahead and apply.

Anyway, I am thinking of writing it again on 21st Dec again, could you guys please help me know how to improve V33 to V35/36 and also where should I practice IR questions from?

Thanks again
DV

Hi DonVito,

Integrated Reasoning actually has a lot in common with Verbal CR (and to a lesser extent, RC), so improving those skills in the Verbal section will likely help you to pick up points in IR as well. Since you're on a limited timeframe, we'll need to be efficient with the time that you have, so we should start by defining how you've been studying and your overall timeline going forward:

1) What study materials have you used so far?
2) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
3) What are the exact application deadlines that you are facing?
4) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?

You might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.
