Is your score inline with your GMATPREP scores?
There are many positive experiences shared in this site.
So its not impossible. You have a enviable quant score - some more verbal is required..Buck Up!!

I gave two GMATPreps - one halfway through my prep and another just couple of days before.

In frist I got, 680 - Q50 V31

and in the second one I got 700 - Q49 V35

I am just scared because at the earliest I can give the exam in August first week and then less time would be left for Round 1 applications.

Honestly speaking I am not disappointed with the 680 score but the extremely low 28 verbal score. :(

Why? Why did you get V28? The closer your answer will be to the truth, the better you can improve your verbal score next time working on your weakest areas.
I agree that 680 isn't bad itself but V28 doesn't sound good to adcoms.

Keep your head up. It does sound like you probably should do a retake with the extreme imbalance, but it's been done before - so all hope is not lost.

Remember the verbal section - is last. So when you transition from quant to verbal - you really need to step back and change your mindset so you are in "verbal mode" quickly. By then, you're probably half exhausted, etc - so just make sure you keep your focus and practice doing so in your studies.

One of our students, Kang, - was in the same boat with a 690 and extreme imbalance. He was waitlisted. But we helped him boost his verbal so his total score was 760. He got off the waitlist and was awarded a $50k MBA scholarship. Now he's at Darden MBA: https://www.gmatpill.com/the-gmat-pill-m ... l-student/

The verbal went from V32 to V41. Now, you're starting at V28 - so you need to bump that up - at least into the mid 30s so your score looks more balanced.
