Hi Abhisekh,

Although your work pedigree looks impressive, the lower GMAT will make it difficult to crack the top programs you mentioned. You are competing with several Indian students who have exceptional work ex as well as high GMATs.

Also, most top consulting firms look at your GMAT score while recruiting you for internships/ full-time positions and they have a cut-off of 700. Therefore, it might become almost impossible to get an interview invite if your score is less than 730 or so. As an Indian alum who has completed MBA from a US B-school, I'm saying this from personal experience.

Another aspect would be the rigor of your undergrad. I know NIT Trichy is a pretty good institute, but the B-schools tend to be impressed more with the IITs.

So, I believe you have two options:

1. Retake GMAT and improve your score by 40-50 points, if you think this is feasible.
2. Reassess your school choices and be strategic and realistic about your options.

If you want to talk more, feel free to email me at mail@vibranture.com

Good luck!
