Kavya2024,

After OG's, you can try OG Review and OG Advanced level questions to practice. If you need more you can purchase official question sets 1 and 2 from GMAC.

Also look into LSAT CR Questions. LSAT questions are generally considered tougher than GMAT, so practicing tougher question sets will help in GMAT Exam.

All the best.

Hi Kavya2024,

What you are asking for - and what you should actually be focused on at this point - might be different things. Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week? -
I have been studying since 1.5 months
2) What study materials have you used so far? - I have done OGs for all of them. LSAT for RC and for SC and CR i cant find anything which is like gmat
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)? - I gave 1 mock around somewhere in starting march and one before that . I got 670 in latest one (Q49 V33) I got most of them wrong in SC(11 wrong) , CR(1 wrong) and RC (4 wrong) . I have been practicing alots and alots of SC since then, I have been doing LSAT RC (getting 4/7 right on avg) . For CR and SC i cant find great resources for 700+ questions.

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score? - I want to score 730+
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to? - Deferred programs of HBS, MIT, CBS

Hi Kavya2024,

Many GMATers become too fixated on the 'implied level' of the questions that they're working on - instead of what really matters: defining WHY they're getting questions wrong and becoming more efficient at approaching the overall Exam. It's also worth noting that just because a 3rd party describes a question as "700 level" does not necessarily make it so. As it stands, with a V33, the missing points that you are after in the Verbal section are not really about "700 level" questions.

If it has been 2-3 weeks since you last took a CAT/mock, then it would make sense to take a NEW CAT sometime soon - so that we can see how well your extra SC practice has helped you to improve. Make sure to take it in a realistic fashion that matches-up with what you will face when you take the Official GMAT (take the FULL CAT - with the Essay and IR sections, at the same time of day as when you'll take the Official GMAT, if you will be at a Test Facility, then wear a face mask, etc.). Once you have that Score, you should post back here (or you can feel free to PM me) and we can discuss the results and how you might best proceed with your studies.

1) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
2) Are you planning to take the At-home GMAT or are you planning to take your GMAT at a Test Facility?

Hello everyone .I have done the OGs and I am able to do all the questions of medium level and some high(700 level). Can anyone tell a great source, which is close to GMAT questions . (I have done GMAT prep ones). ?

Hi Kavya,

If you are faltering on 700 level CR questions, then I think you should focus more on the process here. Practicing 700+ level questions doesn't help you improve your accuracy. Instead, try to understand the reason behind making the mistakes. You can probably go through the solutions of the questions in which you have made the mistakes, identify the step at which you made the mistake and learn the right approach. Only after you understand the right methodology, move ahead to practicing questions.

I can help you in a better way if you can provide me with a few more details such as:
  • How do you generally solve CR questions?
  • Is there any specific strategy or you directly jump into statements after reading the argument?
  • Do you falter with 700 level questions even when there's no time limit?

Do let me know so that I can help you with a plan of action. You can write back to me here or you can get in touch with me over a call and we can discuss the same in detail.
