Hey Guys, just got done with the second attempt for GFE today and I'm still in disbelief.
I Started the prep while working full time, gave diagnostic official mock on 1st August 2023 and scored 480 in CE with 14 percentile in Verbal. Gave all 6 GFE official and never scored beyond 615. I brought eGMAT for 6months, mainly for Verbal and DI. Gave 5egmat mocks and at the end was able to score 695 on them.
Decided to give my first attempt on 9 March,2024 and scored 615. I knew Verbal and DI timings is pulling me down, so I did only Verbal practice with gmatclub and egmat for an entire month. Gave the exam today after exactly 1 month and the screen popped 735 and 100percentile!!. I don't remember the exact scores but I have 100% in quants, 99%in DI and 91% in Verbal.
From 1Aug till today, I don't remember any day when I didn't study at all. Even when I was able to get only 30-40 mins due to workload/commute, I used to do at least some Qs everyday. I knew for a fact that until I'm not getting 685+, I'll keep grinding and will be giving the attempts even if it goes till 8th attempt. Gladly my journey is done on 2nd attempt and 7months absolute grind.
As for resources, I used all the OG materials available available on mbadotcom for Verbal and DI. Being an engineer, I was above average in quants and relied mostly on egmat modules and gmatclub for it.
