Some of the CRs were totally different from OG and GMAT Prep.

People want to know about Strange CR you encountered :)

Congrats on the score and welcome to the 700+ club.

Unfortunately you or moderators have to remove the GMAT question. It violates the confidentiality agreement you signed at the beginning of the exam. Though I can say I got a verrry similar question as well.

There were some new question types and they weren't straight-forward at all. If I want to compare I would say that they were more similar to Manhattan CAT tests (two somehow correct options which are not really correct !!! :D ) than OG and they were time consuming

CONGRAT!!! Which schools are you applying to?

I m not sure. I have to be in Virginia for a while. So I think of UV (Darden), Virginia Tech (Pamplin) and UNC ! I have to ask your opinions in a relevant post.

I think RC was easier than some of the OG or CATs. Or maybe the subjects were more interesting for me, so I was able to understand the whole thing. Also I saw the subjects of 2 of them previously. I can't recall exactly where they were, but it should be either GMAT Prep 2 or CAT6. The passages were not same, but the whole idea and the concepts were similar.
2 of the passages had some CR types (something like which of the following options strengthens the author's claim ).
For Q part I solved all the questions, for Verbal I guessed one of the SC questions at the end, because I wanted to save some seconds for the last question. I do not sure if it is the case always, but my percentiles in some of my tests decreased dramatically because of the wrong answer to the last question. I wanted to pay more attention to that one ! Again I am not sure if this belief is always true.

thanx for the info..

gr8 to know that you guessed only 1 SC out of 41 Q's..

now i am guessing nearly 10-12 q's in the CAT's as i lack time in Verbal.
did you have time for all the Q's from the initial CAT's or you got this speed by practice?

I think I had the same speed for the Verbal part initially, but I had time-difficulty with Q, specially on M-CATs, but I believe that practice definitely improves the speed, both for Q and V.
My strategy for time (V-part) was paying close attention to the clock after first 10 questions. In my practice tests and also in my real one I tried to save about 2 minutes for each question. I know that the real allocated time for verbal questions was less than 2 minutes, but by this way I found enough time to read the RC passages even 2 times. When I noticed that I have less than 2 minutes for each question (for example I had 22 questions, but 40 minutes left) I tried to increase my speed. you can use your guess in this phase. Based on my experience I think it is common to face some long and complicated SC & CR questions at the end. Then you have enough time to read those one and increase the related percentile.

First I read Manhattan series for Verbal. Then I took OG 12. For SC part I read the whole answer part (regardless of my answer; correct or not) two times.
Then I took all the test that I mentioned in my first post.
