Pathfinder_77, now I'm working on essays. Nevertheless, TOEFL speaking is still open question for me. My 104 is enough for every B-school but HBS. I practice speaking and hope to beat TOEFL in near future.

104?! That's a great news, dude! The last I know was the information that you scored 96. Well 104 is a decent score, no doubt about it, much better than 96 I had thought you received.
Don't worry about low speaking score. I scored 108 with 22 in speaking and I don't even have an accent. I suppose that speaking score depends most on concentration and technical abilities of test center. Adcoms will check our speaking score during interview.

I also have 22 in speaking :) All guys in test center dream about such score and ask me why 104 is not enough. Unfortunately, HBS requires 109. You are right that speaking in TOEFL is a strange thing. Sometimes it is difficult in native language to convey in 45 sec all ideas... Anyway, I very close to 109 :)

That 109 requirement of HBS is ridiculous. Schools such as Wharton and Chicago require 104 and all other schools, including Stanford, require even less than that - they are around 100.

Hi Walker,
I used to see the TOEFL link in your post. Now I don't. I'm wondering how you studied for that test. What material and sources you recommend? I probably use TOEFL test to improve my English and verbal part. I got a 31 on verbal and want to target to high 30s. I might have to take TOEFL test in the future, too. Your thoughts is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I took TOEFL twice and both times I got 29 of 30 in listening. I started form zero! The magic stuff - everyday listening to podcasts: VOA (they have transcripts and it is the best one to start), WSJ this morning, Bloomber, Grammar girl, Scientific American, Nature, ESL English and so on. It was interesting for me and one day I suddenly realized that my listening score is so great! No specific TOEFL stuff!

Other sections were without a surprise. Good score in reading is just sequence of GMAT Verbal. Speaking and Writing are not so great to share my experience.

Hope this will help.

I’m really happy not only because I got 750, but also because it is very important not to give up and work hard.

Mathematics

I’m pretty well in mathematics, because I finished physical mathematical school, have Master of Science, Master of Finance, and PhD in Nanotechnology (Physics). My advice

1. Importance of ...
3. Understand ...
3. Work primarily on ...
2. Restriction ...
3. DS-patterns...
4. Focus on ...
5. Guess...
6. GMAT club
7. You may find useful ...

Wow!!! Great story! Congratulations! You really inspired me showing that I also can achieve my goals; I can compare myself to you only in the verbal section. I'm not at all as great as you in quant.

Take this as a joke: man, you may have a PhD and several masters, and may be a guru of quant, but you have problems counting!!! Look at this: your advise for quant: 1, 3, 3, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. What is that?? I'll take it like this: if you, a person that doesn't count well at all, could obtain masters in science, finance, PhD, and got accepted into Booth for your MBA, and got 51 in the GMAT quant, then I certainly can do well also. Just kidding! I really admire you. Have you graduated from Chicago already? Best of lucks in whatever you are doing now.
