Hi all,
I haven't been back for a long time, and am glad to see so many new faces here ... Just wanted to say hi, and give you a little update for whoever still remembers me.
As of 9pm last Saturday, I've finished my last course and will be graduated from my MBA program at Simon. I'll be working at Simon Kucher Partners, a European based company, also one of the world best pricing consulting companies.
Simon has an excellent program for people who want to get good analytical trainning but are not fortunate enough to get into a top ten school. I chose it for my own reasons (proximity to my family) but I feel what I've got is nothing less than any of the top schools. It's small so you get individual attentions from the faculty, and you will get a lot of opportunities in any area you want to develop. I'm heavily involved in student clubs and other extracurriculum activities, in addition to the courses.
Following a return offer from Kraft after my internship, my job seeking efforts were very focused. I have applied to four positions that are heavy on strategy and quantitative analysis, including Kraft (CIS), P&G (business analysis), NWA (pricing and yield management), and SKP (pricing consulting). I got offers from every one of them, and they have all been very enthusiastic to get me to work for them, spending time to talk me into accepting the offers, and updating the offer packages, etc. I feel that if you really know what you want to do, and if you really love what you want to do, and are good at it, you will be highly welcomed in today's market.
Just want to let everybody who's studying hard to get into this new world to know, that what you are trying to achieve is very valuable. It is worth of working hard toward it.
Keep up the good work, and good luck to your tests!
