1. The percent change in the number of citations issued from February to March is approximately [8 times] the percent change in the number of citations issued from January to February.
% change from Feb to Mar: 16% (\(\frac{827}{989} = 0.83\)) % change from Jan to Feb: 2% (\(\frac{989}{1009} = 0.98\))
2. For the period from January to March, the average (arithmetic mean) number of citations falls approximately between [920 and 980] per month.
Avg from Jan to Mar = \(\frac{1009 + 989 + 827}{3} = \frac{2825}{3} = 941\)
1. The percent change from February to March is \(\frac{989 - 827}{989} * 100\% \approx 16.38\%\) and the percent change from January to February is \(\frac{1009 - 989}{1009} * 100\% \approx 2.02\%\). The ratio between the two is \(\frac{16.38\%}{2.02\%} \approx 8.1\), which around 8 times.
2. January to March had 1009, 989, and 827 citations each month. The average of these three numbers is \(\frac{1009 + 989 + 827}{3} \approx 942\), which is in the range 920 and 980.
3. Our answer will be: "8 times" and "920 and 980."
