A company that has greater than 50% of the market share of a particular product category will typically invest much more in Research and Development, generating a majority of innovations for the category.

A. much more in Research and Development, generating a majority of innovations
B. many more in Research and Development to generate a majority of innovations
C. much more in Research and Development and generate a majority of innovations
D. many more in Research and Development and majorly will they generate innovations
E. much more in Research and Development; they will majorly generate innovations

A. COrrect -- verb-ing modifier clearly modifies previous clause and provide its result
B. Incorrect -- Usage of many is incorrect as invest is uncountable. Also, to generate shows intentions which is not meaning from original sentence
C. Incorrect -- now generate acts as verb and its no more result driven by act of investing. SO it changes the meaning
D. Incorrect -- Same as B
E. Incorrect -- Same as C

Hope this helps !
