A. much more in Research and Development, generating a majority of innovations --> correct: generating is result of investing
B. many more in Research and Development to generate a majority of innovations --> "much more money" should be used
C. much more in Research and Development and generate a majority of innovations --> generating and investing are not two different actions
D. many more in Research and Development and majorly will they generate innovations --> same as B
E. much more in Research and Development; they will majorly generate innovations --> same as C

Answer should be A.

We should use "much" here because of the presence of uncountable noun - money. So, B and D are gone.

E is wrong because "they" has no antecedent.

In C, "generate a majority of innovations" is shown to be parallel to "invest much more in Research and Development." But generating innovations is the result of investment, so, they cannot be parallel.

A has no errors.

A. COrrect -- verb-ing modifier clearly modifies previous clause and provide its result
B. Incorrect -- Usage of many is incorrect as invest is uncountable. Also, to generate shows intentions which is not meaning from original sentence
C. Incorrect -- now generate acts as verb and its no more result driven by act of investing. SO it changes the meaning
D. Incorrect -- Same as B
E. Incorrect -- Same as C

Hope this helps !
