A delivery company reviewed a random sample of 1,000 deliveries completed by each of three courier services, Northstar, QuickRoute, and CitySprint, during the same month. The chart shows the distribution of the time required to complete the deliveries in each sample. The percentage of deliveries completed in 29 minutes or less was between 50% and 75% for , whereas it was greater than 75% for .
Official Solution:
Deliveries completed in 29 minutes or less are represented by the blue, orange, green, and red sections, corresponding to delivery times of 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 24, and 25 to 29 minutes.
For Northstar, these four sections together cover more than half but less than three-quarters of the outer ring. Thus, between 50% and 75% of Northstar deliveries were completed in 29 minutes or less.
For QuickRoute, the corresponding blue, orange, green, and red sections cover more than three-quarters of the middle ring.
For CitySprint, the corresponding sections cover less than half of the inner ring.
Therefore, the percentage was between 50% and 75% for Northstar only, whereas it was greater than 75% for QuickRoute only.
The best possible solution seems to be drawing two imaginary diameters one along the brown vertical and other horizontal, virtually making 4 quarters. which gives the answer in an easy way northstar only quickroute only
1- Northstar, you might think it could be northstar and quickroute both but looking at the Quickroute graph, the red, orange and green portions seemingly cover 25% each so its already very close to 75% but there is blue portion too so it must be more than 75% 2- Quickroute as deduced in firs statement
