3 cups of flour for every two cups of sugar—> Ratio of Flour to sugar = 3x :2x
.: Total mixture is 5x

5cups of mixture—> 2 cups of sugar
1cup of mixture—>2/5 cups of sugar
4cups of mixture—> 8/5 cups of sugar

The mixture consists of flour and sugar. It is mentioned 3 cups of flour not 3 cups of mixture.
