Hello GMATClub. I have a few random questions regarding my best course of action as I approach my January 4th test date.
1. I just finished GMATPrep Exam 2 (second free exam) and noticed that the IR section was exactly the same as GMATPrep Exam 1. Even though I received a different prompt for the AWA, the IR section contained the same 12 questions and they even appeared in more or less the same order. If I purchase GMATPrep 3 and 4, will I receive a different set of IR questions? I'm not so much worried about exposure to IR content as I am simulating the mental fatigue associated with completing the IR section.
2. I also noticed that at least 1 quant and 1 verbal question on GMATPrep Exam 2 had previously appeared in either OG2017, a previous exam, or maybe one of the supplement review guides. Is this typical? And if so, should I expect to continue to see minor overlap with GMATPrep 3 and 4? Has anyone ever seen a previously used quant or verbal question on the real test?
3. I just finished GMATPrep Exam 2 and scored 10 points below my target score. I have a family retreat planned from December 29th - January 1st and I will be unable to realistically complete a full length CAT during this time frame. As such, my only remaining study dates are from December 27 - December 28 and from late evening on January 1st - January 3rd. I know it sounds extreme, but I would like to fully review my mistakes from Exam 2 tomorrow (the 27th) and then take a third exam on December 28th. I know this isn't recommended but can someone recommend a better plan given my time constraints?
4. Would it be a mistake to take a practice exam during the Jan 1st - Jan 3rd window?
Thanks in advance for your support.
