A group of theater owners made an arrangement with an acting company stating that the theater owners would get \$5 for every ticket sold, no matter how many tickets were sold. How much did the theater owners earn from ticket sales?

(1) The total revenue from ticket sales was \$700.
(2) If 30 more tickets had been sold, the theater owners would have received 30 percent more money from ticket sales.

IMO B. OA please?

There are two ways to get the revenue from ticket sales for the theater compnay.
a) # of tickets sold
b) Get the reveue some other way.

1) Total revenue for the acting company was \$700. From what we know the ticket might
cost \$70 each leading to 10 ticks or \$10 each leading to 70 ticks. Revenue for the
theater owners will vary accordingly (10* 5 vs 70*5). Hence not sufficient.

2) Lets assume that total ticks sold = N, then theater owner revenue = 5N
if, N+30, then their revenue= (n+30)5
Difference = 5(n+30)-5N
= 5N + 150 - 5N
= 150
so the difference is 30% more than what they really earned,
or (30/100) * x = 150
or x = \$5000 -> Therefore Suffiecient.
