The argument is that, because at the end of the 3 months 80% of couples were more dissatisfied, then the practice did not help their marriage.

A does not make any claims about their marriage so it is irrelevant.

B says that any counseling would help in the first 2 months, we're concerned with 3 months so it is also irrelevant.

C shows that maybe the counseling did help the couples marriage, but it doesn't dispute the logic of the argument, i.e. that because 80% were dissatisfied the practice didn't help.

D points out a potential bias that could lead to dissatisfaction but again doesn't dispute the logic of the argument.

E says that without the practice less than 10% of couples would have been satisfied. Since in our argument 20% of couples are satisfied, this directly disputes the claim that the practice did not help their marriage.

Therefore, E is the correct answer.

I feel answer should be C. It clearly shows how it helped them. Also, several is a phrase used as a weakener. In option E is a relative concept we don't want to know more or less disappointed - b/w both options I fnd C to be more stronger.
