Relative distance = 280 meters
Speed of Bus = 2 m/s
Speed of Person = 24 km/hr = 24*1000/3600 m/s = 20/3 m/s
Relative Speed (Same direction) = (20/3)-2 = 14/3 m/s
Time to catch = Relative distance / Relative speed = 280 / (14/3) = 60 seconds
Answer: Option A

The person is traveling 24,000 meters per hour, or 24,000/60 = 400 meters per minute. The bus is traveling 2 meters per second, or 120 meters per minute. So the person is gaining on the bus by 400-120 = 280 meters every minute, and it will take exactly one minute, or 60 seconds, for the person to catch the bus.
