Let the marked price be 100..
A discount of 20% means, the item is sold for 80..
Now this gives a profit of 25%. If the cost is x, 125x/100=80....x=64

Now we want a profit of 10%, so 64*110/100=70.4
Therefore the discount should be (100-70.6) on 100, that is 29.6%
