A taxi company charges a base fare of €33, which covers up to 10 kilometers, up to 4 passengers, and up to 6 suitcases. Each additional kilometer costs €2.5, each additional passenger €2, and each additional suitcase €1.5. A group of (2 + c) couples carrying 7 suitcases travels 12 kilometers. If the total cost of the trip is €108, what is the value of c?

\(€33\), was used up to cover \(10\)km, \(6\) suitcases and \(4\) passengers.
Extra amt \(= 108 -33 =75\)
Extra km \(= 12-10 = 2\)
Extra suitcases \(= (2+c) *7 - 6 = 8+7c\) ... each couple had \(7\) suitcases.
Extra passengers \(= (2+c)*2 - 4 = 2c\) ... since total passesngers \(= (2 +c)*2\), as there are \((2+c )\) couples.
Multiplying the extras with their respective per unit cost :
\(2*2.5 +(8+7c)*1.5 + 2c *2= 75\)
\(5 + 12 +10.5c +4c =75\)
\(c = 4 \)

I'd rephrase to make it clear that every couple is carrying 7 suitcases. Nice question otherwise.
