I attended panel interview on 4th May and the university informed me that I have been put on waitlist yesterday.
Hmmmm… is it the end of my application?
Has anyone successfully got out from waitlist before?

Hello, TakeMe2NUS. A waitlist is just what you think it is. You did not gain acceptance outright, but if enough people ahead of you choose to go somewhere else, you will get an offer. Sometimes these things work out, sometimes not. Your school should let you know either way with a follow-up letter.
Waitlists cannot be relied upon - some do get converted whereas others do not. It completely depends on the vacant seats.
However, we hope you are in touch with the Admissions Committee and have kept them abreast of any improvements in your profile since the time you applied. It is a good idea to do so if you are keen on converting the admit. Needless to say, you must assure the school that it is your first choice and that you are hopeful of a conversion.

I was put on waitlist on March 23rd and the process extended for close to 2 months. I received an email on May 13 for a deferred admission to the 2023 batch. Did you receive the same?
