Subject verb agreement

1. the exquisite balance 'and' near gravity-defying grace of cats >> needs plural verb extend.
Strike out all choices with 'extends' >> A is out

2. Cats >> plural, so plural version of to drink is needed.
Strike out all choices with 'drinks' >> B and D are out

Among C and E

C. the exquisite balance as well as the near gravity-defying grace of cats extend to the way they drink >> as well as should have singular verb >> wrong.

E. the exquisite balance and near gravity-defying grace of cats extend to the way they drink >> Correct

Hi Gulrukh
Let me fill in for Priya

"As well as" is an additive and unlike "and" which makes the subject plural "as well as" takes singular form.
Ex: Ram as well as shyam KNOWS how to drive (correct)
Ram as well as shyam KNOW how to drive (wrong)

For the very same reason “the exquisite balance as well as the near gravity-defying grace of cats” should have verb “extends” rather than “extend”.
