It should be D ...
E says that mobile can become Bluetooth compatible subsequently which means it is not having Bluetooth currently and hence weakens the sale forecasts.. But E doesn't impact the conclusion on any terms

Most people will confuse between D & E. I will give a clear picture of how E dominated D. All other choices are easy to eliminate.

D- Biodegradable - Information didn't give any info on how a nature-friendly substance will influence the public.
E- Bluetooth - Option conveyed that the mobile phone has more coming benefits upfront on the road apart from technical advantages from the info. So, the public will be influenced. So, this is correct.

Please give kudos if u like it

Imo it is clearly E, since D claims that the talk uses biodegradable materials which might shorten the life of the phone thus not becoming a success, yet E infers that the phone does not have bluetooth capabilities which might deter some customers but not as many if told that the phone will not last as long as other competitor’s phones.

Which of the following, if true, would LEAST weaken the argument above?

A. Faster and lower-priced models will soon be introduced by other cell phone manufactures also. This clearly weakens the argument since better phones are on the way shortly. Eliminate.

B. The independent analyst whose assessment was incorporated in the prospectus used measures of quality that are not universally accepted by the cell phone buying public. This clearly weakens the argument. If the measures of quality used to assess Talk are not universally accepted, the public may not agree that the phone is "high quality" or "fast". Eliminate.

C. Many retailers already stock one or more low-priced cell phone models and are not inclined to stock another. This clearly weakens the argument. If the retailers do not stock Talk, it is unlikely to become a fast selling alternative. Eliminate.

D. The Talk is among the few brands that use biodegradable materials to make their phones. We do not know how the use bio-degradable materials impacts the sales prospects. We cannot be sure that this weakens the argument. Hold on to this option for now.

E. The Talk can become bluetooth compatible subsequently. This clearly strengthens the argument. Addition of capabilities would only improve the sales prospects of a product (assuming other things remain the same).

Between (D) and (E), we cannot be sure of the impact of (D) while (E) acts as a strengthener. Since we are asked which option would LEAST weaken the argument, option (E) is a better option than (D).

Hope this helps.

Like most people even I was confused between options D and E but my reason for ruling D out may seem a little unconventional here.

Option D states: "The Talk is among the few brands that use biodegradable materials to make their phones."(I would like to ask you to focus on the words "The few brands", if it would have said that The Talk was the only brand, I would have chosen it as the answer but as the option says "a few brands", the models made by the other brands could have features that could make it better than the The Talk.)

Option E states: "The Talk can become Bluetooth compatible subsequently." (The stimulus doesn't give any hint whether the other models available at the particular price range have Bluetooth capabilities or not but this option doesn't strengthen the argument neither does it weaken it.)

That's why in my opinion, the answer should be option E.
