Will go with D.

Despite the fact that some patients have reported that sleep-deprivation (loss of sleep or less sleep) have helped them to tide over depression, yet doctors have not used it to treat depression.
This can be explained by the fact that, enough study or research has not gone into the effects of sleep deprivation to be used as a medical procedure.
