I only had two years of work experience at the time of writing the application. Being a young applicant, deciding which top MBA programs to apply to was a very difficult task. I knew given my less work experience I needed expert guidance to find the right B-Schools. My conversation with Namita from MBA Decoder stood out to me, she gave me realistic expectations and suggestions based on my profile. I chose her as my consultant due to her honest advice and realistic approach.

For me, the things that stood out during the application process were:
  1. Namita genuinely listened and understood my experiences to help me showcase my authentic self in the applications.
  2. She identified the strengths and weaknesses of my profile and based on her extensive admissions experience, suggested schools that matched my interests. Given my limited work experience, finding the right fit was crucial.
  3. As I engaged with Namita very early in the process, she also made suggestions for improvement in my profile based on my interests. On her suggestion, I joined 1-2 volunteering-based activities, which later became key parts of my essays.
  4. She was also always available over text/call in case I required any clarity or help. even connecting with some current students for b-school research.
  5. Niranjan, who works with Namita, provided invaluable guidance on the goals essay. Through 3-4 intense hour-long discussions, he helped me frame my goals essay in a compelling manner and helped me find the “wow” factor in my essay.
Apart from the application process, the help Namita and Niranjan provided for the interviews really helped my nervousness and show my best self during the interviews.

The result was, I not only secured admission from Booth and UCLA but also got hefty scholarships from both these schools.

I would recommend Namita to every applicant as she’s a consultant who is hard working, cares about your personal experiences and provides a personalised approach for the MBA applications.
