Under-Graduate School: B.E Mechanical from an unknown university in India
Under-Graduate GPA: 6.8/10 (not so bad

GMAT/GRE Test scores: 650 (Q49, V29) (Started from 300, just stopped at 650)
Total Work Experience: 10
Pre-MBA Industry: Manufacturing / Automotive
Target industry post-MBA: Want to try a new industry. Hoping for E-commerce, Consumer goods, or perhaps Entrepreneurship
Brief about Work Experience: I am/was managing an international representative office. Key responsibilities are customer management, negotiations, operations and administration
What is your relation to the Recommenders?(Manager. client etc): Client (choose wisely). Do not go by the Designation of the recommender
Volunteering/Extra-curriculars: Global moderator on Gmatclub
, photography and dancing
International Experience: 2 years in UAE and 5+ years in Italy
Scholarship Given?: Yes (can't disclose) + early bird scholarship
The motivation for MBA and why Now brief?: Motivation is to definitely move to business oriented roles. Gaining transitional skills to try new roles/industry. Long term goal is to lead a company
I am bit late in going for MBA because of personal and financial reasons. However, it looks like a perfect timing to evolve
Why WHU?: I knew WHU is reputed in Germany. I got a highly positive review of it from a friend. I am interested in its entrepreneurial mindset along with international modules at US, China and India. Apart from that, in my list of top countries to live in - Germany is in top 3
Which Round did you apply in?: 1st Early bird of April 2021 intake (Aug 2020 deadline)
Which Intake (April/Sept): April
Status of your application? (A or WL): Admitted
Short-Term Goal: As I mentioned above, I want to try a new industry (keeping manufacturing as my safe option). I am looking for leadership development, strategy roles combined with entrepreneurship
Long-Term Goal: To lead a company

GMAT/GRE Test scores: 640 (first try, had a terrible test but managed a 640)
Total Work Experience : 13 years, 7.5 years management experience
Pre-MBA Industry : Credit and Financial Services
Target industry post-MBA: Credit and Digital Banking
Brief about Work Experience : Non-traditional, started off as an IT tech, then SQL DBA, then software dev. Started my under grad part time while working in 2013. Graduated in 2019.
What is your relation to the Recommenders? (Manager. client etc): A senior executive who I worked closely with for an important project.
Volunteering/Extra-curriculars: Some homeless volunteer work making sandwiches.
International Experience : Remotely collaborated with a team spread across the world for a short stint at a company a few years ago
Scholarship Given? : Have not applied yet
The motivation for MBA and why Now brief? : I am an entrepreneur at my core and have tried multiple times to start businesses but failed because of lack of financial, marketing and strategy skills.
Why WHU? : Excellent international offering, flexible curriculum, friendly faculty, fit in terms of values and my own personal value system.

When did you hear from the university? I too applied before 31st jan, submitted my Kira interview on 13th Feb. What the wait period for your applications?
