Am I the only one planning on avoiding all classes with the word "turbo" in the title? :lol:

I really have no background in econ/finance/acctng/etc so I figure a less intense schedule is a good way to start :P

Take 33111 you would have Murphy, Snyder and Becker at the same class and those who are taking it told me that is not that hard as Turbo Micro. It's going to be REALLY expensive though - in bid terms.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I'd like to let you know that my history with Chicago is not over in Jun/2010. My wife has been accepted for the best Art school in the world - which happens to be in the same city of the best Business school in the world. :-D

Anyway, I won't be here all the time but I will be hanging with you guys once in a while

Another thing to note that I just remembered, Booth is hiring 4 additional staff to their career services department. Each person will have a concentration on recruiting companies to the school from certain areas of the U.S. and world. Someone please jump in if I'm not remembering correctly.

I spoke with a career services representative and she confirmed that they were indeed hiring 4 additional staff to their department. It's nice to see they understand that a job search in this economy will be wider, thus requiring additional resources to reach out and establish relationships with companies. This is contrary to the view of other schools who are actually CUTTING their staff right now. Kudos to Booth!

Her MFA will be 2 years starting this fall. Yes I will probably going back to Portugal, it's going to be tough, but only 7 months away, as she has the summer break.

Speaking of the art institute, I highly recommend the restaurant for the school's culinary program. Great food, awesome location, and incredibly reasonable prices...only bad things are the hours are not very good and the menu is pretty limited (but it changes each quarter).

That's not quite The Art Institute of Chicago. I believe kwam was referring to another institution (i.e. https://www.artic.edu), which is indeed one of the finest art schools in the world.

Not sure I'd ever heard of the Illinois Institute of Art at Chicago (i.e. https://www.artinstitutes.edu/chicago) before. But nice tip nonetheless!
