haha! true story, yesterday my boss took me aside and asked if everything was "ok." He told me that i haven't been providing input in meetings lately and heavily implied that i step up my game...doh! :oops:

When will it be summer already?? :?

Anyone going to the Wyclef Gordon performance on Thurs night?

I was originally planning to but decided it would be more fun socializing with my future classmates at the happy hour instead! So so excited!!

And to answer quantconcerns, I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of students on Friday make last minute plans to hang out over the weekend :)

Yeah I'm going to the performance (love jazz), but I'm not sure if I can get away with biz casual or even jeans if I go there. Is the dress code for the Wyclef thing listed somewhere?

I actually got shut down. When I called, they told me they don't really do extensions, but told me to send an email anyway. I sent an email, and they responded that they don't grant extensions. So that's a bummer.

I am in a similar position. I just got a call from Duke with an offer for 1 year tuition. I am really hoping something comes through financially from Columbia because I'd prefer to go there.

If Duke gives you 1 year of free tuition, you are probably too good for Duke. Come to Columbia!!

I am EXTREMELY jealous of you guys....

I just found out today that in order for me to be eligible for my company's annual bonus, I have to be an active employee through the end of fiscal year - 8/31. FML. :x

So now I have to finagle some crazy crap with leaves of absences and saving up ALLLL my vacation just so I can quit by July 29th and still make it through year end. I can't wait to escape this corporate bureaucratic BS for two years....Can. Not. Wait. :?

Personally I didn't turn down any schools, I applied ED. I want to do finance in NYC, so Columbia was a no-brainer. I guess you could make an argument for Wharton, but living in Philly for 2 years- no thanks.

I am coming in married as well :)

I applied to MIT (R2) and Wharton (R2) as well. Just got an interview invite from Wharton but I emailed them back with my official application withdrawal. As jackhrobbins said, no thanks to Philly! Plus my husband I have settled in nicely in NYC.

I am EXTREMELY jealous of you guys....

I am playing the bonus waiting game too...I get my bonus on March 7th. I have already set up a 730am "catch-up" with my boss for March 7th. It's gonna be brutal but I Caaaaaaan't wait to get out of this!!

The funny thing is that within 6 months of happily quitting our jobs, we will all be back looking for WHAT?? another freaking JOB!! But the 2 years at Columbia are going to be awesome!!

Wow, turning down Wharton interview! :)

I am coming in kind of married? My wedding is actually in Sept so I am sure I will be crazy busy. . . (Why did I plan to get married as I am starting b-school? I wish I had the foresight...)

I only applied to NYU and Georgetown other than CBS. I withdrew from Georgetown, and am sadly turning down NYU even though they gave me 25K in scholarship. I just think CBS is worth that extra bucks.

I'm in a similar situation. I have to stay through July for my 401k match and pension to vest. It kind of sucks because I was hoping to do the Pre-MBA World Tour :(
