Thought I'd start a thread for all potential future Ithaca-ites. :-D Got an email today saying that I've been awarded a scholarship ($) For reference, in my view of the world, $$$=full ride, $$=half or greater, $=less than half. edit: I thought about it some more and decided to go ahead and enroll at Cornell!!!

Hi All. New poster, here. Is anyone looking to share a hotel room for DJ weekend? Figured it might make sense to split cost.

Bschoolbound- I am from Chicago and got into Duke as well. Any thoughts on which school you are going to pick? Im pretty up in the air at this point.

congrats texas! Yes, I have made a decision, but it depends on the minute that you asked me. Right now I decided to go to Cornell, 2 minutes ago I was for Duke, and 2 minutes before that, I decided on Cornell. Basically I'm as lost as you are

Congrats to all the new admits! Welcome to the Johnson family!
I am a current Johnson student and looking to sublet my place for Summer. It’s a bright & spacious one bedroom apt on the fourth floor of Fairview apartment (the best place you can live going to Johnson School). Furnitures are all included with LCD TV, air conditioner, free internet connection, microwave, etc. Very convenient location. 10 min.s walk to Sage. 5 min.s walk to college town.

I am subletting it for $880 a month (listed rent is over $1100) from May 17th to Aug. 22th. This is perfect for AMBA students and other MBA students who want to move to Ithaca first and then look for an apt for the long term.

I only found it listed as early August on the website but couldn't find the exact date...

That could be... I'm an international, and I know I'm starting Aug 8th, but that might be assuming I am skipping the international student orientation as I'm from Canada. My memory from DJ is a little hazy...

I emailed them. Here's the schedule:

- Quantitative Skills for the Core will be August 1-3
- International Orientation will be Friday, August 5
- The Dean’s Welcome and Reception for your class will be Sunday afternoon, August 7th
- Orientation sessions will start Monday morning, August 8th

Ya they said to be there by Aug. 1 at the latest to get things l like utilities, Internet, etc. set up as we will supposedly be occupied from morning to night during the orientation.

Hmm they're quite slow aren't they? Our admit handbook says that the newsletters should start in "spring and continue through summer".

I know that other schools, in comparison, have already got conversations going amongst their students and are sending out lots of information which helps maintain the excitement.
