I'm in the same situation with admits to both Fuqua and Ross. I've gotten tons of information from Ross and hardly anything from Fuqua. Where's the love?

It is an opt-in program, so everyone that checks the box gets in...at least that's the case historically.

Look it up.

All you have to do is apply and start networking with other admitted students and admin staff on a variety of topics

Anyone with children/spouses planning on attending BDW? Being that there is no information out there in regards to BDW, partners and children, we are very hesitant to shell out over $1000 for flights/rental car/hotel...coming from CA.

Has anyone gotten any information about BDW? It would be nice if Fuqua would tell us something...flights are getting more expensive everyday.

Fuqua just posted a facebook event on BDW. However, the information on that is pretty limited. I'm on the fence about BDW as well. Without much information about the event, it's hard to justify the $$$.

I booked my ticket for BDW today, I didn't want to wait any longer since the travel alerts were telling me to book. I'm a little disappointed that there still isn't any agenda or information. Hopefully it will come this week.

Hi mba12tech,

I thought the Duke event was pretty good! People were exceptionally friendly about walking up to strangers and cracking jokes and such. Two things surprised me:

1) More married couples than I would have expected.

2) Most people seemed like they were already decided that Duke was where they would be attending. Only a handful seemed to still be considering other schools. Ross, Wharton, & Darden were mentioned as competing schools about which people were undecided.

Other than that, not too much to report. Liz Hargrove is great; super-friendly. A couple of us talked to her about putting together a DC-area email list for Duke admits so we can plan future happy hours before school starts. Hopefully that will happen soon.

Had I been able to make it, it would have been yet another married couple in attendance. I wish I could have gone though, as I'm about 85% sure I'll be going to Fuqua. The DC-area list sounds like a great idea.

The last two decisions were released the Friday before. Although for R1, Duke sent out the incoming student website to admitted students before the decision, which prompted the early release. So the decision may come out 3/5, but most likely will not until 3/8.

As far as you visiting. March 26-28 is the admitted student weekend (Blue Devil Weekend). So if you are in R2, it'll be good to delay your trip a couple of days for the Blue Devil Weekend (if admitted).

About the BDW (if admitted), it is good to know the dates. Where can I find more information? Looks like delaying my trip is a good idea.
