Enjoy Ann Arbor!

For the goals you state, with so much money on the table, Ross all the way.

Sure, Tuck had better MBB consulting outcomes, better layman prestige and maybe a more responsive network, but the difference in cost is far too much to justify considering Tuck.

But then, it also depends on your personal financial situation and risk appetite.

Have you considered negotiating with Tuck?

I feel it’s going to be pretty challenging to justify Tuck at full price with a full ride at Ross.

I do think that Tuck offers something That no other business school provides including Ross. The small program that is isolated and bonds people together is an awesome experience. However, I have heard of people being equally underwhelmed by either program and in many cases it seems the experience and satisfaction and the value that people think they get out of business school is heavily dependent on their expectations. Someone who sets their expectations hi, will inevitably be disappointed. Very often people going to business school believe that everyone else will be super amazing and impressive and super friendly to them, welcoming them in their open arms and cuddling them. Obviously that’s not the case and pretty much everyone going to business school is usually very very accomplished and very very impressive but sometimes it does not come off that way when you meet them. This is one of the reasons that most reviews of business schools that we have a GMAT Club complain about that fact. They complain that they’re not super happy with their classmates. … anyway this is a very long way to say that it’ll be hard to justify ignoring Ross. At the same time, $150,000 is about what you would expect your starter house to appreciate by in one year in Seattle or Bay Area. 🥴 so I am not so sure that if you have strong feelings for Tuck, you should completely bury them and sell your soul.

Strong feelings basically translate to a fascination with the "Ivy League" tag.

No personal trust fund to speak of :) It was always going to be loans or scholarships. I will definitely be writing to Tuck if only to get a response.
