Hey guys,

Im studying for the gmat for about 6 months now. I'm a non native + a lawyer (so my english & math skills were low..)

I took the test last week and scored 650 (q47 v33). I canceled the test and enrolled in the e-gmat verbal course.

Yet, I didn't really understand, till last Saturday, how raising my quant score to q50 would impact my total score! (in about 30-40 points!)

I was basing my scoring target on some old tables from google, and hence thought that q47-48 would be enough (huge mistake!)

So i decided to give myself a chance to raise my quant score as well.

I have schedule a test for the end of December and took a vacation from everything.

I believe that i can finish the e-gmat verbal course in 2 weeks from now (working very hard from morning to evening).

after that, I would still have 2 weeks till the exam.

My question is how should i do it? should i solve 10 questions every evening? should i buy some advanced quant books? (which ones?)

(right now, im solving 10 questions from the gmatclub question pack every evening. they are very good, but hard and i've been straggling to understand the explanations)

Thanks!!!

Hey bunuel,

Thank you for your answer!

Is it ok to ask what would you recommend me to do in my situation?

Personally, I would go through Bunuel's problem sets and make sure you understand the concepts involved.

Do his baker's dozen, 12 easy pieces, 700+ GMAT Data Sufficiency Questions w/ Explanations, and Good set of PS problem sets.

I would do them in the order I provided time permitting. Make sure you UNDERSTAND the concepts and how to reach the right answer for each problem.

Off the top of my head, I seem to recall baker's dozen providing great probability, combination, exponent simplification, and a number of common integer properties concepts. These concepts get recycled a lot. Similar with the other problem sets. If you can understand the concepts for all of these problems, you should not have trouble doing similar problems and get a 49-50 in quant.
