There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
The recruitment season is coming to an end for International students, with our third deadline coming up on March 15th. (Not to worry, there is also some buffer for those of you who are waiting for the GMAT scores / IELTS score to be submitted to us - we recommend to get everything done quickly as the visa application process may take some time!) Permanent residents and Canadian students still have until May 1st to submit their application.
Many students ask us to review their profile prior to applying but the admissions process is complex and holistic and done by an admissions committee. It depends not only on how competitive you are but also how competitive you are in relation to other applicants. We only select 70-90 students so we take our time in selecting the best of the best and the Quality network resulting from it, joined with a close-knit, collaborative environment, is one of the most precious assets of our MBA Program.
Our advice to all applicants
1) Avoid being generic. If you submit your essay, make sure it is personalized to the school and not to send the same essay to many different schools. 2) Be yourself. We want to determine if there is a fit, both on your end and ours. The MBA is a relationship so honesty and authenticity matter ! 3) Contact your referees ahead of time; take them out for coffee, tell them about your plans. Make sure they understand how important this is for you so that they can write a powerful reference letter for you. 4) Keep your CV within 1-2 pages. Highlight your achievements, your extra-curricular, your languages spoken, your international experience, anything that reflects who you are, your experience and what you bring to an MBA cohort. 5) Get in touch with alumni and the recruitment team to find out about the school's culture and the experience. Academics & Career opportunities are definitely important (and a strength of our program), but beyond this, we provide you with an experience: 2 years with a top-notch, collaborative cohort & a dedicated team of individuals who want nothing but your success.
With all this said, we wish you all the best in this admissions season and look forward to getting in touch! :-D Don't hesitate to tag us to ask any questions!
