Hi GMAT Club Experts,
I would greatly appreciate any advice or insights from the community.
About me: I’m a 28-year-old Indian female, currently working as a Senior Software Engineer, with a GMAT FE score of 645. Most of my career has been spent working on international projects remotely, and after my MBA, I plan to return to India. I’m particularly interested in opportunities in fintech or finance, though I’m open to exploring other paths as I gain exposure during the program. I’m not interested in consulting.
Program preference: I am specifically looking for 1-year MBA programs in Europe, ideally at schools with strong brand recognition in India, as I plan to build my career there post-MBA.
Current status:- IE IMBA: Accepted with a 25% scholarship.
- Concerns: Brand recognition/prestige (especially in India) and the strength of the alumni network.
- IMD: Accepted without scholarship
- Other applications: Rejected by INSEAD, HEC Paris, and LBS.
Given my current profile and preferences, I’m trying to decide whether to accept the IE offer or retake the GMAT to strengthen my profile and reapply next year to other top 1-year European MBA programs with stronger recognition in India.
Any thoughts or guidance on this decision, especially regarding
IE’s ROI and reputation in India versus the potential benefit of
reapplying with a higher GMAT would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your insights!
