It would be really helpful if someone from similar background or knowledge can help me answer this question.
I am graduating this June 2013 as a Mechanical Engineer and have job offers from AIG (American International Group) as a Catastrophe Risk Analyst and ZS Associates as Business Analytics Associate.
I plan to pursue Masters in finance-pre experience fall 2014. By the time of my application I will have some 12 months of experience.
Which job would be a better experience and justification in my application to pursue Masters in finance.

Providing modeling support and analytics to Corporate and Regional Catastrophe Management teams
Modeling property, energy and engineered risk exposures for all perils using multiple vendor models: AIR/RMS/EQE
Building, verifying, and producing portfolio analytics combining underlying exposure and treaty reinsurance information
Communicating portfolio analytic results to regional teams and senior management
Working with underwriters and cat management function to increase data quality, modeling standards, and efficiency
Providing support to account modeling, portfolio roll-up and management, reinsurance structuring analysis, portfolio optimization, and live event loss assessment
