Air Spectacular, known for its best service in the airline industry and top-rated travelling experience, has had a greater number of accidents than Aero Sensational over the past few years. Aero Sensational charges roughly the same price as Air Spectacular for its flights. However, most of the travellers have preferred Air Spectacular over Aero Sensational for their flights from Raylayer to Sensei during the same period.

Which of the following, if true, most helps to explain the preference of the travellers despite the greater number of accidents referred to above?

(A) Although the number of accidents is greater for Air Spectacular, some accidents do not cause serious injuries to travellers.

(B)Over the past few years, people have become highly sensitive to the cost of flying.

(C)For its flights from Rayler to Sensei, the Air Spectacular uses a different model of airplane, with a smaller capacity, than the model Aero Sensational uses for its flight on the same route.

(D)Most Air Spectacular flights, but not its flight from Raylayer to Sensei, use the Toncon airport, which, because of its short runway, is among the world’s most dangerous
airports.

(E) Unlike Aero Sensational, Air Spectacular is planning to implement a plan to provide insurance to travellers who are injured during an accident.

Situation: People are preferring Air Spectacular over Aero Sensational for their flights from Raylayer to Sensei, eventhough overall accidents are higher for air spectacular

Pre-think: Over all it might be high but in the specific path Air spectacular has no or less accidents so people prefer it.

(A) Although the number of accidents is greater for Air Spectacular, some accidents do not cause serious injuries to travellers. - I wouldn't say this is irrelevant. It is stupid. Strike it off.

(B)Over the past few years, people have become highly sensitive to the cost of flying. - irrelevant. Cost of both the flights is fairly same as is mentioned.

(C)For its flights from Rayler to Sensei, the Air Spectacular uses a different model of airplane, with a smaller capacity, than the model Aero Sensational uses for its flight on the same route. - how does smaller capacity attract customers ? Irrelevant.

(D)//Most Air Spectacular flights//, //but not// its flight //from Raylayer to Sensei,// use the //Toncon airport, which, because of its short runway, is among the world’s most dangerous airports.// - correct. Gives a reason for accidents happening in other flights but not the Raylayer one.

(E) Unlike Aero Sensational, Air Spectacular is planning to implement a plan to provide insurance to travellers who are injured during an accident. - stupid again. Would people want to die just for insurance.

Thus, according to me D is best.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Which of the following, if true, most helps to explain the preference of the travellers despite the greater number of accidents referred to above?

(A) Although the number of accidents is greater for Air Spectacular, some accidents do not cause serious injuries to travellers.(doesn't explain the preference)

(B)Over the past few years, people have become highly sensitive to the cost of flying.(cost is roughly same, doesn't help)

(C)For its flights from Rayler to Sensei, the Air Spectacular uses a different model of airplane, with a smaller capacity, than the model Aero Sensational uses for its flight on the same route.(even if different model is used by spectacular,it is still susceptible to accidents.doesn't help to explain the preference)

(D)Most Air Spectacular flights, but not its flight from Raylayer to Sensei, use the Toncon airport, which, because of its short runway, is among the world’s most dangerous
airports.(this the best choice, provide proper reason for preference of passengers on this particular route)

(E) Unlike Aero Sensational, Air Spectacular is planning to implement a plan to provide insurance to travellers who are injured during an accident(Air spectacular is just planning,it has not implemented, doesn't help)
Choice D

Boil it down - most of the travellers have preferred Air Spectacular over Aero Sensational for their flights from Raylayer to Sensei during the same period , although the former airline has poorer overall safety record

Which of the following, if true, most helps to explain the preference of the travellers despite the greater number of accidents referred to above?

(A) Although the number of accidents is greater for Air Spectacular, some accidents do not cause serious injuries to travellers. - Incorrect - the word some can stand for a small number that (at max less than 50%) and thus is not significant; we are concerned with the number of accidents

(B)Over the past few years, people have become highly sensitive to the cost of flying. - Incorrect - we are given the cost is the same

(C)For its flights from Rayler to Sensei, the Air Spectacular uses a different model of airplane, with a smaller capacity, than the model Aero Sensational uses for its flight on the same route. - Irrelevant - a different model with a smaller capacity does not make it safer

(D)Most Air Spectacular flights, but not its flight from Raylayer to Sensei, use the Toncon airport, which, because of its short runway, is among the world’s most dangerous
airports. - Correct - so this route will be much safer than general for that particular airline

(E) Unlike Aero Sensational, Air Spectacular is planning to implement a plan to provide insurance to travellers who are injured during an accident. - Irrelevant

Answer D
